Tips for Bogotá

Welcome to Bogotá, Colombia’s bustling capital and our shared hometown (fun fact: we were even born in the same hospital!). Nestled at the foot of the stunning Cerros Orientales (Eastern Hills), Bogotá is home to nearly 10 million people. Pro tip: if you’re ever lost, remember the hills mark where the East is!

This vibrant city offers a little bit of everything: rich culture, fascinating history, world-class restaurants, shopping, and—of course—plenty of options for partying and entertainment. If you can, we recommend spending a couple of days soaking it all in.

We’re planning a mini-tour of the City Centre on the Thursday before the wedding, but feel free to explore Bogotá at your own pace. Here are some of our favorite spots:
