BOGOTÁ

ANDRÉS CARNE DE RES

Since 1982, this one of the favourite restaurant and night club (one of the biggest in the world!) for Bogotanos. Andrés Carne de Res has been a legendary hotspot for dining, drinking, and dancing since 1982. This vibrant venue features dance floors, maze-like tables, and kitchens brimming with Colombian charm. The décor and atmosphere are over-the-top, with bright lights, eccentric costumes, and extravagant characters—making it perfect for groups looking to enjoy Colombian food and an unforgettable rumba.

Danis’ favorite dishes: Tostón de Patacón, chicharrones and the Mandarino or Lulazo cocktail.

GAIRA (Cumbia House by Carlos Vives)
CRA 13 # 96 -11, BOGOTÁ D.C.

This iconic Bogotá spot blends a restaurant with a rumba house, and it’s a personal favorite of the Danis (we like it even more than Andrés Carne de Res!). Gaira frequently features live music or top-notch DJs, and if you’re lucky, Carlos Vives himself might perform!

Danis’ favorite dishes: Empanadas de carne con suero costeño and ajiaco.

CREPES & WAFFLES
BOGOTÁ, D.C.

A beloved Colombian classic since 1980, Crepes & Waffles is a chain you’ll find throughout Bogotá and across the country. We simply can’t visit Colombia without indulging in our cravings here—it’s so good that we even visit their Madrid location whenever we can!

Danis’ favorites: Too many to name, but trust us, you’ll find something to love between soups, Panne Cook and juices.

WOK (Asian food)
BOGOTÁ, D.C.

Another absolute favorite for the Danis whenever we’re in Colombia! Like Crepes & Waffles, WOK is a popular restaurant you’ll find in various parts of Bogotá. While it’s not traditional Colombian cuisine, all the ingredients are local, and the dishes reflect the country’s diversity and rich stories.

Danis’ favorite dishes: Lok Lak, Wok n’ Roll sushi, and Tori Tatsuta Age.

ABASTO
BOGOTÁ, D.C.

A top pick for breakfast or lunch, Abasto has two locations in Bogotá, conveniently close to the areas we’ve recommended for accommodations. These cozy spots offer a delightful touch of Colombian culture, with local ingredients grown by indigenous communities and small-scale farmers using traditional methods.

Danis’ favorite dishes: Chocolate with cheese, empanadas paisas with aji de lulo, arepa de huevo, and carimañolas de queso.
